It is very interesting that as the report says, 70% of profit and revenue come from products and services invented in the last 5 years for the top 20% performers, whereas in the 1970's, the percentage of profit and revenue for products invented in the last 5 years was measured to be 20% on the average, with a prediction of 33% in the 1980's.

These statistics, indeed make a very strong case for an agile product development environment, in a fast changing enterprise landscape.
