I also had a chance to both study with and later work with George for a while. Not only a great scientist, but a also a good person. I saw that he was honored by HPS. It could not have happened to a better person!

I think it's like getting a college degree. Getting a degree from *any* college is considered better than having no degree at all. However, getting a degree form a reputable, well known accredited college is usually considered better.

I believe that 4 week sprints is what scrum (Ken Schwaber) prescribes as a good sprint. However, we have used 1,2,3 and 4 week sprints and our experience has been a that: 1 week sprint is sometimes too short to complete the team commitments, 2 weeks appears to be the sweet spot for most projects. There is nothing wrong with the visual. At a very high level abstraction, that's what most web-app architectures would look like. The user interfaces with the website and the website ferries info back and forth to one or more databases, crunches some results and communicated the results to the user.
