I found a bunch of info on-line. Here is a comparison of PM tools (Basecamp is included).

Re: Best Project Mgmt Tool ?
Jim, once again. BASECAMP is an excellent PM package, especially if it does all you need done! It has tasks, documents, notifications, schedules, calendars, todo lists, etc. If you are going to make comments like that, then you should be able to provide some backup to your claims, right? What do you...

Random - TI59 Web Site
This may seem random, but I was an avid user and follower of the TI59 programmable calculator (w/built-in magnetic card reader) and I just found this site that brought me back to my college years, so I thought I'd share in case there are others that were TI59 users. A piece of history! http://www.da...

Re: Best Project Mgmt Tool ?
JimLombard, don't be so critical. Just because you don't think so, is someone thinks that BASECAMP is PM software and it helps them manage their projects, then that's the right tool for them.
I don't understand why people think *their* preferred software is the best and anything else is not good

Re: Benford's Law - this is great
This is indeed off topic, as far as the forum goes, but is a very interesting topic to me. I also only recently became aware of Benford's Law and am fascinated with it! I have seen many mentions of it having been used in real legal cases, but have not been able to find and case law for it. Do you ha...

Re: Typical Scrum Sprint Length?
Well, not sure, but if I had to guess I'd say it's because you want to know if any possible problems as quickly as possible.

Re: Is Agile = Scrum ??
I think most Agile projects out there are using scrum, that's why. I don't recall where, but I saw somewhere 75% of Agile projects are scrum.

Re: Scrum may not be Agile
Ditto! Scrum was developed to be Agile by definition. It's possible that some team version of scrum implementation may not look agile, but that's a reflection of the team.TommyD wrote:Scrum is *very* agile.

Re: Possibly wrong subject - Software Development
I may have been a bit too generalizing, when I said that's the ONLY way, but I also think you are being too simplistic when describing Agile. It has nothing to do with what you are describing. I am no expert, and can't explain it very well, but if you take a look at the Agile Manifesto, you'll proba...

Re: Possibly wrong subject - Software Development
WiltonMarks, absolutely! Anyone who thinks that Agile is silly doesn't know what they are talking about. It's the ONLY way to approach software development nowadays!
