Re: Possibly wrong subject - Software Development

is Kanban and scrum the two main agile methods? Well, they are both considered Agile and many times the two are used together. There are actually a number of Agile approaches. Extreme Programming, Scrum, Crystal, Lean Software Development, Feature Driven Development (FDD),... Different people like ...

Re: Possibly wrong subject - Software Development

Ah, another good argument, it reminds me of the arguments about what is the best programming language. :) I have had exposure to PM for the last 15 years and I've been involved with waterfall, scrum, Kanban,... I have to say that I still haven't made up my mind what is better. Each time I think the ...

Re: Thorium General Info

Yes, I know, Helen22. I am really interested in any info regarding the new Thorium reactor concepts that are being discussed in the last few years. Well, actually, what I would love to see is a document that clearly documents the advantages of a Thorium fuel cycle compared to the conventional Uraniu...

Re: Other countries more progressive than US

Sorry Helen22, I didn't mean to sound whinny. I was just saying that I wish we could get our energy act together, in this country, and become the leaders we used to be in the nuclear power. One can hope for it, can't he? :-)

Other countries more progressive than US

I just read an article that Hungary inaugurated construction of their National Radioactive Waste Repository. It took them about 10 years, from initial concept, but it's being build and it will accommodate up to 40,000 cm of waste from their 4 reactors! What? Four reactors? Indeed, 43% of Hungary's p...

Abstracts of the 24th IAEA Fusion Energy Conference, in San Diego, USA.

Lots of interesting presentation abstracts. I'll see if I can get the actual, full papers and post them here.
