As long as you have a computer that runs windows XP or earlier,as easy as for windows works well. The macros are fine but different from the DOS version. So you have to rewrite them. The help section in ASE is excellent so not an impssible task just a long one.

Yes, Open Office has extensive macro programing but way beyond the As easy as type and not within my understanding... Since its free you might as well give it a try.

Was sorry to find As Easy As for Windows was no longer compatible. I tried open office (free) and ability office ( A few pounds from Amazon UK) They both imported *.wks files occasionally with strange formating and files can be saved in Excell format. They would both have been acceptable but I am ge...

You are demonstrating very well how hard it is to debug or write foolproof macros! When I was using As easy as regularily I could not believe that a programme I had been using for years could throw up new bugs. However that was half the fun.

Charlie, Hello, I was a long term user of As Easy As for dos . I gave up when on upgrading to an inkjet printer on a USB connection it was no longer able to print out my files. How do you manage to print your files? Incidently I was able to install version 5.7 with no problem from the original file ...
