Re: Earthquake at Fukushima!
I don't really understand the dig, but yes, when someone says, There hasn't been any reports of radiation leaking out of anywhere,... they usually mean, "at least up until the time the message was posted", it's not a statement about the future - that's common sense. Should I make such disc...

TREES AS FILTERS OF RADIOACTIVE FALLOUT
I wonder if the Japanese can learn anything from what the Russian did to deal with the contamination post-Chernobyl!

Re: No posts about other nuclear forms, like fusion!
I remember, years ago, when fusion was indeed a hot item (no pun intended). At the time, as I remember it, there were a couple of competing technologies with plasma magnetic confinement (Tokamak reactors) attracting a lot of attention. But, after spending decades and billions of dollars on research ...

CA Residents penalized for not using Solar
Very interesting approach in trying to encourage the use of solar power in California.

I'm all for using solar and other renewables, but this doesn't make much sense, does it?

Re: Can't search
DHimmer, I also had some problems with searching and I think there may have been some issue with the board and they much have fixed it because I now can search all across the sections without problems.

NRC response to Fukushima
I know there have been a few discussions and some documents discussing NRC's response to the Fukushima accident, on this board, but I haven't seen anything recently. I am wondering if the interest on the subject is diminishing, or what!

Re: Wind Power docs
Howard, there are a bunch of papers on Solar energy posted as well. However, please note that this section is more geared towards nuclear because that's what the company that hosts these forums appears to be primarily involved with. Having said that, you could always ask them to set up an additional...
